Visiting the main/noble floor

The palatial home of the Mencos of Tafalla is now open to the public

A ninety-minute tour will allow you to discover the different rooms on the main floor as well as the wine cellar.

In so doing, you will discover a home that sheltered Elisabeth Farnese, Ferdinand VII, Maria Amalia of Saxony or Alfonso XII. The building also served as headquarters for the French Army during the Peninsular War, headquarters for Maria Christina’s army and a Red Cross hospital during the Carlist Wars. More recently, it served as a training academy for under-officers and Civil Guard headquarters during the Spanish Civil War.
